Mimi Dickson graduated from Massachusetts College of Art concentrating on Fine Arts. As the years progressed, through workshops she took, she developed a keen understanding of composition and design. After living and studying in New York, she moved to South Florida and eventually established her studio in Homestead.  
 
Her exhibitions in New York received numerous awards and she has continued to receive awards since her move to South Florida.  Her work has been collected throughout the United States, as well as in the United Kingdom and Germany.
